baby burd- 20 weeks

We are half way there! And that much closer to meeting this baby girl! I really can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going. It seems as soon as we reached 12 weeks and have been able to share our exciting news, time has flown by. Here's a random list of the going ons in pregnancy land.

  • There's a baby in there! I have been waiting patiently to feel this baby move. At around 17 weeks I started feeling movement that I thought could have been Presley moving, I just wasn't quite sure if it was her or gas. By 19 weeks I started having constant feelings of a kind of rolling motion that last way too long to be mistaken for gas. And now at 20 weeks, the movement feels stronger but is still sporadic. I can't wait for movement felt and seen from the outside. I especially can't wait for the first time Ryan gets to feel her move!
  • This may be a silly statement but I think we can feel the baby's heart beat. I'm not sure if it's actually her heart or just being able to feel my own pulse through my belly. I've tried comparing the pulse on my neck to the pulse on my belly and they are beating at a different pace. Ryan can also feel it. Is this crazy? I should probably google it.
  • I have had exactly ONE pregnancy craving and ONE pregnancy aversion. Craving- chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate chip cookies from Subway to be exact. Aversion- Chinese food. I had it once at the beginning of the pregnancy and got so sick immediately afterward. Since then it's the only thing I don't think I'd be able to stomach.
  • Pres is collecting quite the wardrobe! between family and friends, everyone is showering this baby girl with TONS of adorable clothes. She is gonna be one stylin' babe!
  • I'm going to get kankles. It's only a matter of time.
  • Speaking of kankles... mama is growing! According to the scale at home, I've gained a total of 10lbs. The belly is expanding! I'm guessing the weight distribution is about 6lbs. in the belly and 2lbs. in each ankle : ) Here are Presley, Fink and I this week. Hims is a happy big brodder!

I just realized that everyone has made their debut on the blog but daddy! Don't you worry, I have a post planned just for him coming soon...
